Ozalla people eulogise Oshiomhole

The Onotare of Ozalla  land, chiefs and people of Ozalla community  in Owan West Local Government Area of Edo State, have thanked Governor Adams Oshiomhole,  for his prompt response to their cries for assistance to areas in the community that were devastated by a rainstorm on February 7, 2014.

The governor visited the disaster areas on March 3, 2014 and donated the sum of N10million and 200 bundles of roofing sheets to the victims of the rainstorm disaster.

It will be recalled that the Ozalla community suffered a widespread disaster caused by a powerful early night rainstorm that left over 70 houses and farm lands planted with food and cash crops worth millions of naira destroyed.  In the ensuing rage of the severe rainstorm, the palace of the traditional ruler was not spared  as a part of the roof was blown off.

Chief Aienloshan Irivbogbe, Okpamen VII, the Onotare of Ozalla land, who spoke on behalf of the community, said that his people were overwhelmed by the governor’s intervention to alleviate the suffering of those affected by the unfortunate rain-storm.
