Hundreds of thousands of applicants across the country are today writing the aptitude test into the Nigerian Immigration Service(NIS).
Vanguard gathered that in many centres, organizers are battling with crowd control as the numbers of applicants seemed to have overwhelmed officials of the NIS and the Ministry of Interior.
In Lagos, Vanguard learnt that the National Stadium venue of the test is jampacked with applicants. And as at the time of this report, the test has not commenced because of seeming logistics bottleneck for the sea of applicants who thronged the centre.
Yesterday, the Minister of Interior, Abba Moro denied the rumour that the ministry had instructed applicants to take the aptitude test at their various states of origin.
He said, “for the avoidance of doubt, we started this process some months back and having literally overcome some of the initial obstacles, the aptitude test for the enlistment of men to the NIS will take place on Saturday in various centres across the country and the FCT”.
