A Yenagoa based group, Yes President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan says it has launched moves to mount pressure on the President to declare his intention to contest the 2015 poll.

The National Coordinator of the group, Mr. Erebi Robinson Ere who disclosed this Wednesday in Yenagoa said its members have commenced grassroots mobilization to canvass support for the President.

“We have come together as Nigerians to work in unity and harmony to the promotion of the aspirations of Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan who has foster democratic values and promote politics without bitterness among Nigerians,” he said.

According to him,  President Jonathan had performed beyond reasonable doubt and as such deserved a second chance to consolidate on his transformation agenda for the country.

He said: “We have successfully launched two missions  code-named “Operation Gideon” and “Operation Gideon Amplified” respectively.

“While Operation Gideon is aimed at convincing Nigerians to add their voice  to our call on Mr. President to declare and re-contest for 2015, Operation Gideon Amplified is a 40-day count-down of fasting and prayers for God to answer our prayers that Mr. President should see reason to continue in office.

“It is our fervent belief that the task of national transformation agenda and national conference is a collective responsibility and knowing that President Goodluck Jonathan has performed beyond reasonable doubt deserves to be re-elected for a second term if he declares to run. “
