As part of activities to commemorate this year’s World Down Syndrome Day in Nigeria, Down Syndrome International (DSI) will on Sunday March 16th 2014 at the Rock View Hotels hold a comedy infusion.

According to Mrs. Chibuzor J.C Patrick of the group, “Comedy Infusion aimed to bring together good spirited individuals to laugh and unwind while at the same time put smile on the faces of children with genetic disorder, a procreative process where a child inherits 23 chromosomes each from both parents, which amounts to 46 while those with extra chromosomes or 47 chromosomes have down syndrome which makes them down for life, but we are determined to keep them smiling”.

The event will feature some of the finest Nigeria’s comedians and musicians like Ay, Yaw, Klint d drunk, Akpororo, Emeka Smith, Seyi law, Elenu, Senator, Mc Acapela, Gordons, Gandoki, Bash, Odogwu, Papa B, Mr. Raw, Ice prince, W4, Ray G, Waje, Solid Star, Tuale and Many more.

Down Syndrome International (DSI) earmarked 21st March every year as World Down Syndrome Day. The date was chosen to signify the uniqueness of Down syndrome in the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome and is used synonymously with Down syndrome.
