China’s Defence Ministry on Tuesday said that it would use 10 satellites to help search for missing flight MH370.
The ministry said that the Xi’an Satellite Control Centre in north-western China reprogrammed the high-resolution satellites for full-time monitoring of weather, communications and search operations in the area where the Malaysia Airlines plane disappeared.
Reports said that pilots of two planes from Hong Kong spotted unidentified debris off the coast of Vietnam on Monday.
However, it was not clear if the debris was linked to the missing plane, which had been en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing with 227 passengers and 12 crew, on board. (dpa/NAN)
