IBADAN— NO fewer than 10 people were burnt beyond recognition in an auto crash that occurred on Lagos Ibadan expressway, yesterday. Four others were left with serious injuries.

Three vehicles, including two trucks and one 18 seater Toyota Hiace commercial bus with number plate BDG 767 XB were involved in the auto crash.

Confirming the accident, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Oluyole Unit Commander, Mr. Sanya Adeoye, said four people survived while the unlucky victims were taken to the mortuary at Adeoyo State Hospital.

He said an Ibadan bound bus from Lagos was waiting for a truck from the quarry to link the expressway.

Another truck without registration number, said to be coming from Lagos end, ran into the stationary commercial bus.

Adeoye said the accident was due to over speeding, adding that the commercial bus caught fire immediately.

He said the four people who sustained injuries were those in the trucks and that they had been taken to the University College Hospital, UCH, for treatment. At press time, Adeoye was trying to reach out to families of the victims.
