The police in Agbor, Delta State have arrested a lady and her lover for the murder of her husband.

The suspect, one Solomon Sunday, was alleged to have clubbed the victim, Mr Obi Agada, with a plank while the wife, Alice Akwe, was in the bathroom.

The marriage between the couple was, however, not blessed with any child, even as Alice claimed she had separated from the man.

Sources said scuffle ensued between Solomon and Obi on December 30, 2013, as the new lover who had been contending over the lady fought and wounded the victim when he hit him on the head.

The man was rushed to the Central Hospital, Agbor, from where he was referred to the Delta State University Teaching Hospital, Oghara, where he was confirmed dead.

According to the Acting Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Charles Muka, both suspects would soon be charged to court, adding that the corpse of late Obi had been deposited at the Central Hospital, Agbor, for autopsy.
