ABA — Two kidnap kingpins, Lekwa Uzor and Reuben Okezie, suspected to be behind the abduction of a Chinese national, Mrs. Tang Kalu, married to a Nigerian, Mr. Christian Kalu, have been arrested by the police in Aba, Abia State.

Vanguard gathered that the duo, who were apprehended following a tip-off at different locations of Aba, the commercial nerve city of the state, belonged to a syndicate that had been terrorising the city in recent times, and other members of their gang, according to reports, were still at large.

The source said the command was collaborating with other divisions under the command to ensure that the abducted Chinese woman was rescued unhurt as soon as possible, adding that the suspects were already making confessional statements that could lead to the location the woman was being held.

The Police, while calling on medical doctors and chemists to be careful about how they treated patients with bullet wounds, warned kidnappers still in Aba and other parts of the state to relocate to other states, saying they were poised not only to make their business fruitless, but also bring them to justice.
