Chairman of Association of Past Peoples Democratic Party, PDP chairmen in Delta Central senatorial district, Delta State, Chief Godwin Edeki, has faulted what he termed the “unwarranted blackout and the underdevelopment of Sapele Local Government Area, by politicians in the area, whom the people voted into office.

Edeki, also a former chairman of PDP in Sapele council, said that the political players, whom the people of the area elected into the state House of Assembly since 1999 have disappointed them by not reciprocating the good gesture by providing them with dividends of democracy by utilising funds accruing to them as constituency funds.

Addressing newsmen in Sapele, he said: “If you take a look at Sapele council, you will not find any good road or any infrastructural project executed by any of the elected officials with funds allocated to the area by the state government since 1999.”

He said roads worst hit, include Ogaga Road, Old Eku Road, Okergbagha Road among others, all in the council, which he noted had been abandoned by the contractors.
