Ibusa girls acting principal gets commendation

THE parents/guardians of the students of Federal Government  Girls College, Ibusa, Delta State, have  passed a vote  of implicit  confidence on  the  Acting  Principal of the school, Mrs. T.M. Abolurin for the ongoing developments in the institution.

A cross section of parents/guardians, who spoke in an interview described the Principal as a focused and articulate administrator, who has been able to use her wealth of educational/ character moulding  experience on the students.

Some of the parents remarked that since Mrs. Abolurin took over the administration of the school as Vice- Principal, a lot of infrastructural development has been put in place in the school while a robust cordial relationship now exists  between both the academic and non academic staff, the parents and students of the institution.

The parents used  the  occasion to appeal to the Federal Ministry of Education as a way of encouragement uplift the status of the Vice Principal to the Principal grade.

Meanwhile, new executive body to pilot the affairs of the Parents/Teachers  Association of the school has been elected.  The peaceful election which was held at the school premises has Mr. Samuel Okonji as Chairman, Mrs. Stella Dubah, as Vice Chairman and the Principal to be represented by Mr. R.M. Kpokpo as secretary .

Also elected are Mrs Ndidi Frances as Fin. Secretary, Mr. Peter Okpe, Treasurer and Ach. Emmanuel Egbunokei as Publicity secretary. The chairman, Mr. Okonji expressed appreciation to everybody for the mature way they conducted themselves during and after the election and promised to carry everybody along in the discharge of his duties.
