As the company prepares for the planned commissioning of its ultra-modern assembly plant in Obuaku Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State, the chairman of the board of directors of Hy-Lok Nigeria Ltd Alhaji Garba Imam led members of the board on a visit to Gov. Theodore Orji.
The visit was amongst others meant to brief the governor on the extent of work done so far on the plot of land allocated to the company about four years ago for industrial purposes.
Alhaji Imam briefed the governor that in partnership with renowned valve and industrial equipment manufacturers,Hy-Lok Corporation of South Korea, the company has established an ultra-modern assembly plant in Obuaku, a fast growing industrial city located along the Aba – Port Harcourt expressway between Obehie & Imo River.
The facility will assemble high quality valves, Fittings, semiconductor components, hoses, hydraulic tools and fire safety equipments – all vital components for use in the oil and gas, power, telecoms and allied sectors of the Nigerian economy.
In addition to its specialized manpower, it will employ skilled and semi-skilled personnel from its host community, thereby providing employment for the people of Abia State.
