LAGOS—A suit by the family of late Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, Mr. Harry Lardner, over the deceased’s estate has suffered a setback  following a none entry caveat placed on his Will.

The suit was filed by Elizabeth Oladuni Lawrence and Oladipo Harry Lardner the son of the late SAN, against the Probate Registry of the Lagos State High Court alongside three others, before Justice I. Harrison of the state High Court in Ikeja.

Joined as defendants are Harriet Ann Omobolanle Adesola, Rosamond Vera Cruz and Tokunbo Anyaniyi.
At the last sitting, a witness Oladuni Lawrence said she was the mother of Oladipo that she gave birth to him, for the late SAN, which is now being contested in court.

The claimants said that the will was read, without a notification to Oladipo, who according to them was a beneficiary to Lardner’s estate, adding that he was not notified of the date fixed for the reading of the will.
The claimants are asking the court for a declaration that the second claimant who is the child and only son of the late Lardner is a beneficiary of the estate of the late SAN.
