BENIN CITY—THE National leadership of the Accord Party, AP, has disassociated itself from the statement credited to the former Governor of Oyo State and candidate of the party in the 2011 governorship election in the state, Alhaji Rashidi Ladoja, that the party will join forces with the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and other political parties to fight the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2015 general election.

The party in a statement by its National Secretary, Dr. Samson Isibor, made available to Vanguard in Benin City, hailed the opposition being given to the Executive by the APC lawmakers.
The statement recalled that Ladoja ran the governorship election in 2011 with the party’s platform but was defeated, therefore wondered “who made him spokesman of the party when he was expelled from Accord Party in 2012.”
