Afghan police arrest two would-be suicide bombers

Ministry of Interior Affairs in Afghanistan on Tuesday said units of police in the country’s eastern Kunar province captured two would-be suicide bombers.

The ministry said in a statement that Afghan National Police arrested them before they could reach a target in the Nari district of eastern Kunar province.

It praised the performances of the police in ensuring the security of the people of Afghanistan and also appreciated the people in sharing information with the national security forces.

However, the Taliban militants who often organise and conduct suicide attacks have yet to make any comment.(Xinhua/NAN)
