Jang reshuffles cabinet, drops two commissioners

Jos – Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau State has dropped two commissioners and changed the portfolios of three others in a minor cabinet shake up.

Those dropped were Lohfa Bako who was in charge of Youth Development and Abdulhamid Gamzaki who was in charge of Ministry of Transport.

Also affected is the former Commissioner for Information and Communication, Abraham Yiljap who is now to oversee the Tourism and Culture ministry and is replaced by Mrs Olivia Dazyam who was in the Ministry of Women Affairs.

The former Commissioner for Environment, Mrs Sarah Yusuf moves to the Women Affairs Ministry, from Environment which is now to be overseen by Dongsar Dongtoe while James Yakubu moves from Sports to Youth Development.

A statement signed by James Mannok, Director of Press and Public Affairs to the governor, said nominees for the other ministries would be announced later.

Other commissioners were retained.
