UGHELLI— NATIONAL Vice Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, South-South, Dr. Stephen Oru, has said that the transformation agenda of President Goodluck Jonathan has brought positive changes to the lives of Nigerians.
Oru, who spoke at Ughelli Township Stadium during his thanksgiving service for surviving armed bandits attack, said the aggregation of other political parties against the PDP would at best spur the party to greater heights.
Oru was attacked by armed bandits on February 2 at Uvwiamughe-Agbarho junction on the East-West Road.
He said: “I have always had very private thanksgiving to God in my belief that a man’s thanksgiving to God is a private affair between him and God.
“However, something terrible happened that literally and practically shook me deep to my marrows.
“This incident of my rebirth made me to have a rethink. I decided to have a public thanksgiving even if it is just this one time.”
He thanked President Goodluck Jonathan, Vice President Namadi Sambo and Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State for their good work, saying “APC is not a good alternative.
“Our great party remains unshaken and resolute in seeing that the Transformation Agenda of Mr. President is successful and that no amount of distraction will deter us.
“We remain grateful to the good people of Delta State and indeed all Nigerians for their faith in our great party and we assure Nigerians that we will not let them down.”
