Mrs. Sawa, wife of former Senator Andrawus Sawa, a leading chieftain of the  PDP debunked the insinuations that she had decided to follow her husband to the PDP following her absence at the ceremony when the cabinet resolved to move with Governor Murtala Nyako to the APC.

“I am 100 per cent behind Baba Maimangoro and there is no way that I can abandon him, so I am 100 per cent behind him in APC and wherever he is going, I will go with him,” Mrs. Sawa told Vanguard in a telephone interview yesterday.“I don’t know who is behind the reports.”

Asked why the reports were made, she said: “The truth is that I went for an official engagement in Abuja and so maybe because they didn’t see me at the declaration but I cannot point at any person as being behind the reports. If there is anybody spreading the report, that person is telling a lie and he will never see me going the other way and just wants to bring chaos.”

Mrs. Sawa was away at a meeting of the National Council on Environment in Abuja when the decision by the cabinet to defect to the APC was taken.

The Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Chief Kobis Ari Thimnu at at the end of the cabinet meeting on Wednesday disclosed the resolution of the State Executive Council to defect to the APC.

“We will follow Baba Maimangoro for good, the man that will not regret wherever he takes a step, we have left PDP in Jesus Name” and all shouted “Amen”
