AN interdenominational intercessory organization, the Ministers of God Prayer Network International (MGPNI), says it is planning to gather thousands of Christians to intercede for Nigeria to avoid imminent danger and disintegration, reports Olayinka Latona.
Speaking recently in Lagos during a press conference, national president, Rev. Bola Oyegbami expressed the need for a national peace prayer conference with a theme: “Oh God Arise”, saying that the aim is to intercede for peace in Nigeria.
He maintained that God would soon dismantle forces of darkness working against peace, unity and development of Nigeria, noting that the best solution to overcome the country’s present challenges is for Nigerians to embrace one another in love and work for peace of the nation.
The all night programme, according to the organisers is scheduled to hold on Friday at the Trinity House Church auditorium in Victoria Island from 9.00 p.m. Expected guest ministers for the programme include Rev. Mercy Ezekiel, Bishop Bankole Jefferson, Pastor Emmanuel Oshoffa, Rev. Kalejaiye, Rev. Olu Aboderin and other anointed ministers of God.
Rev. Oyegbami used the occasion to caution politicians to refrain from overheating the nation’s polity, saying the on-going political situation in the country portend danger to the peace and unity of Nigeria.
