ABAKALIKI— YOUTHS in Ebonyi State, weekend, began campaign for the senatorial ambition of Governor Martin Elechi in the 2015 general election, with a plea to all relevant stakeholders in the state to ensure its realisation.
The youths, who took their campaigns to nine churches, including St. Theresa Catholic Church Eche-Alike, Sacred Heart Parish Alike-Ikwo, St. Stephens Presbyterian Church, Ndiegu-Echara, Ebenezer Anglican Church Nnoyo-Alike, Presbyterian Church of Nigeria Ndufu-Echara Ikwo,
St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, Ikwo, St. Patrick Catholic Church, Abina-Ikwo and Holy Cross Parish, Okpuitimo-Ikwo, made a donation of both cash and food items amounting to more than N2 million to the churches in Ikwo local government area.
Addressing newsmen at the end of the exercise, the National President of Ebonyi Youth Assembly, EYA, Comrade Chinedu Ogah, said the governor needed to be supported to emerge the senator for Ebonyi Central senatorial district, having accomplished so much for the state.
