ABUJA —THE interim National Working committee, NWC, of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, has called on security agents to fish out those behind the demolition of Ojukwu Memorial Library project in Owerri, Imo State, with a view to bringing them to book.
The library erected by the leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, Chief Ralph Uwazurike, to immortalise the Ikemba Nnewi and Eze Igbo Gburugburu, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, was to be commissioned next month.
Interim National Chairman of APGA, Maxi Okwu in a statement, yesterday, described the act as outrageous, unjust and detestable.
According to him, “It is a sacrilege in Igboland for any person or group to conspire and destroy a befitting monument in honour of the People’s General.”
