NIGERIANS desperate for overseas education pursuit have been warned on growing entrants of fake agents swindling applicants in the name of providing professional guidance.
A Consultant in the business, David Abiola Oni, offered the warning yesterday while opening a Port Harcourt outlet of his firm, Dave Abion Consulting (DAC) to bring its services closer to Rivers people and neighbouring areas.
He said: “The public should be aware of those they deal with when it comes to overseas education. On many occasions victims have rushed to our office with tears begging to see how we could assist in tracking an agent who duped them of huge sums in the name of providing overseas admissions.
“The fake agents are there and genuine ones are not difficult to separate, but Nigerians are always in a hurry without proper investigation on the integrity of those they deal with.
“The fraudsters hardly have traceable working locations, always acting online,” he stated.
