Oritsejafor calls for cooperation against Christians’ persecution

The President of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor has called on the general public to speak up against persecution of Christians in the Northern part of the country, and those who are being oppressed elsewhere around the world.

Oritsejafor who made the call, when the Word of Life family celebrates Valentine’s Day with the people, in Warri, Delta State, noted that the celebration is a way of touching the down trodden in the society.

“There are vulnerable people all over Warri and in your local communities, protect them and be their voice,” he urged.

The CAN President who prayed that those who perpetrate evil might change their ways, however, hoped that the full arm of the law would catch up with anyone, who refuses to repent among them.

Oritsejafor harped on the need for parents and the society at large to, as a must to teach their children, moral and sound ethical values, and above all, the fear God.

According to him, Valentine celebration is a way to touch and affect the less privileged and down trodden in the society, contrary to some people’s belief that it is a day of practising immorality.

He emphasized that love is not about Sex, alcohol or partying, but about sacrificing, the type that God demonstrated by giving His only begotten son to mankind.

The CAN Boss said Nigerians in general and Christians in particular should learn to project those doing well.

Citing the Taxi Driver that returned millions of naira forgotten in his car as an example, he asked, “What have we as individuals and a Nation done to project such a man for others to emulate? He queried.
