Yola- Unidentified gunmen struck in Yola Thursday killing one person, leaving two others injured.
Eyewitness account told Vanguard at the venue of the incident at

According to the eyewitness, prior to the attack; the victim had
engaged some people in a phone conversation and seems to be
waiting for them to show up.
But not long after the phone conversation, three men in gown stormed the scene, one of them brought out a gun from his gown and shot the victim three times at close range which resulted in his death instantly while two others at the scene sustained gunshot injuries.
The eyewitness who pleaded anonymity said, after the killing, the
assailants crossed to the other side of the road with impunity where they park their car and fled the scene of the crime.
Vanguard observed that after the ban placed on motorcycles operations in the state by the Adamawa state government around June last year due to series of killings on a daily basis with the aid of motorcycles in the state, this is the first time the state capital is experiencing an attacked as such.
The Police Public Relation Officer of Adamawa State Command, DSP

made in connection with the incident.
However he said the police have swung into action to uncover the
perpetrators of the crime.
