… Says the team has restored Nigeria’s pride

ABUJA—Senate President, David Mark, Wednesday, showered encomium on the Super Eagles for defeating Mali in the semi final of the on-going All Africa Cup of Nations.
He said the Super Eagles’ victory over Mali has restored the pride and dignity of Nigerians in global affairs.
Reacting to the superlative performance of the Nigerian lads over their Malian counterparts, in a press statement, Senator Mark thanked the Eagles for the victory and asked them to remain focused ahead of the next encounter.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Paul Mumeh quoted the Senate President as saying that “this victory is well deserved. You have brought pride to the nation. We shall do our own part to honour you”.
“The nation is proud of you. Please do more to bring the trophy back home. We are anxiously waiting like an expectant mother. You should continue to play like a team. You must not underrate any opponent.
“Let me reiterate that the National Assembly will do the needful to reward you”, he added.
He disclosed that he would be in South Africa to watch the final.
