Lagos Amateur Golf Association (LAGA) has said that the Starting New At Golf (SNAG) curriculum is complimentary to its state-wide golf campaign and will adopt it for children in Lagos State.
The Honourary Secretary of LAGA , Sola Lawson said this during a demonstration of the SNAG at the Astro Turf in Ikoyi at the weekend.
Lawson added that the new board of the Lagos State Amateur Golf Association led by Honourable Habeeb Fashinro has outlined ways to popularise the sport by taking golf to schools where the kids will be exposed to it.
“We want to make the game as easily accessible to kids as possible. And with what we have seen the kids display here; there is no point trying to re-invent the wheel-so to speak.
LAGA will work with this firm (2AT), this has made things a lot easier for us.”f things very easy.
“There is nothing wrong with sitting down with them and setting a goal of reaching 50, 000 kids in our first year” he said.
2AT (To-A-Tee) Limited had introduced the SNAG golf equipment and training model for kids into the country, and since February 20 gotten nine coaches trained on the use of the equipment by a certified Mater Trainer, Tony Howarth of SNAG Europe.
