Lagos — A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, Tuesday, stayed proceedings in the suit by Managing Director of Capital Oil and Gas Limited, Mr. Ifeanyi Ubah against Access Bank Plc and Coscharis Motors Limited.
Trial judge in the matter, Justice Okon Abang, stayed proceedings in the matter, and adjourned till May 31, pending the outcome of an appeal by Access Bank at the Appeal Court, Lagos.
Access Bank had through its lawyer, prayed the court to stay the matter, contending that the records of appeal had been compiled and transmitted to the appellate court.
The application, was not opposed by Ubah’s counsel, following which the court stayed further hearing in the matter, pending the outcome of the appeal at the Court of Appeal,
