The venue was decorated to look like an elegant movie palace, with red velvet curtains, carpets and sparkling chandeliers. With every guest, looking hot and ravishing in their different outfits, last Wednesday’s premiere of the much-talked-about “Flower Girl”, at Silverbird Cinemas, Victoria Island, Lagos, opened a new chapter in the annals of movie premieres in Nollywood.
The glamorous event indeed had all the trappings of “class and glitz” in disguise. It unarguably raised the stake in the industry, not because of the impressive turn-out of celebrities at the event, but basically, because of the quality of the movie that hit the cinemas. Captivating in their different outfits were the cast of the movie.
From Damilola Adegbite, Chris Attoh, Eku Edewor, Blossom Chukwujekwu to Bikiya Graham Douglas and Patrick Doyle, it was a parade of taste, fashion and style. Tinsel star-actor, Chris Attoh wore light sky-blue blazer to the event with a black bold-tie, just as Eku Edewor decked in a sexy outfit with a glowing hair-do.
Blossom Chukwujekwu who played lead-role as Umuar, looked elegant in his black suite which he complimented with black shoes and sparkling white shirt to match.
Also, singer Tiwa Savage, who recently got engaged to her manage, Tee Billz stood out as she showed off her perfect physique in a black and flowery colour dress which she teamed with diamond earrings and black high-heeled shoes. She also wore her loosely curled hair down on her shoulders.
Overwhelmed by the impressive turn-out of dignitaries,‘Flower Girl’ producer, Michelle Bello expressed gratitude to everyone who made it to the event.
The highpoint of the event was screening of the love-themed movie, shortly after cocktails. The quality audience were ushered to the gigantic cinema hall where they were held spellbound for more than 1-hour, watching the turn of events as Kemi(Damilola Adegbite) and her long-time boyfriend, Umar(Chris Attoh) play hide and seek game.
