Super Eagles captain, Yobo Joseph has declared that today’s semi final clash against the Eagles of Mali is a personal war between him and his opposite number in the Malian side, Seidu Keita.
The Nigerian skipper traced the rivalry between them to their days in the U-20 category when they both led their countries’ teams to Nigeria ’99.
“I salute my friend, Seidu Keita who will be leading his country’s team against us. But I want to warn him that I am taking it personal and we are very prepared for them.”
Yobo said he was confident, the Super Eagles players, most of who are inexperienced have been well briefed on what to do.
“I have been putting the younger players in the team through and hope that at the end, it will be a sweet swansong for me and the team.”
