Abeokuta – The Ogun Command of the FRSC has said two children and an adult were burnt beyond recognition in an accident involving a petrol tanker around Idi Iroko area of the state on Thursday.
The Idi Iroko Unit Commander of the FRSC, Mr Irunoje David, in Abeokuta said that the accident involving 18 people occurred at about 1.a.m at Aseko Agosasa road in Idi Iroko.
He said a fuel-laden articulated vehicle marked LAGOS AAA 36 XA lost control and rammed into two other tankers before it caught fire.
“I think there was a spark from the tanker and then it caught fire; the two children and the other person were burnt beyond recognition.
“Their bodies had been deposited at the General Hospital, Ipokia, while others in critical conditions are still receiving treatment, “ he said.
The unit commander urged drivers to observe the rules and regulations on safe driving. (NAN)
