Edo State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has said that its preoccupation now was to reorganise and reposition the party to meet the future challenges and the aspirations of Edo people.

Reacting to an interview purportedly granted by one Aisulimhen Ighodaro that, the party’s governorship candidate in the July 14, 2012 governorship election in the state, General Charles Airhiavbere (rtd) will face sanction for challenging the result of the election and the academic qualifications of Governor Adams Oshiomhole at the election tribunal, the party’s state Director of Publicity and Strategy, Mr. Okharedia Ihimekpen, called on the public to disregard such statements and insinuations as they were the handiwork of political opponents.

Ihimekpen said Ighodaro was not known to PDP, adding that the party had no plan to sanction Airhiavbere for any reason.

He queried: “So how can an unknown person be a stakeholder of the party?”
