More winners have emerged in Diamond Bank Plc’s promo where 35 lucky persons were rewarded with N1 million each in the season five scheme.
A customer of the bank’s branch in Nwewi, Anambra State, Mr. Chike Christian Okafor, won the Salary for Life promo, while Nduka Anthony and Okorie, won N2 million each.
Speaking at the draw held weekend in Lagos, the Product Manager, SavingsXtra Account, Mr. David Otukpe, said, “The aim of the promo is to encourage people to save and reward customers that have been loyal to the bank. We want to encourage our customers to continue to save and win as it becomes fun to have this kind of promo. The volume of savings we are having is growing in limbs and bounds. It has really influenced the customer base; it has grown from N5billion to about N91billion.
“The promo is part of our reward scheme. Every 27th of every month the bank credits the accounts of customers that won Salary for Life. The Salary for Life will last for 20 years.”
The combined draws which attracted promo regulators, past winner, customers of the bank and newsmen saw 35 customers across the country winning N1m each at the special Christmas draw.
Mr. Okafor, who won the Salary for Life prize, according to the SavingsXtra Product Manager would earn N100, 000 monthly for the next 20 years
“It is a way of rewarding customers for doing business with the bank. The Savings Xtra reward campaign is one way of saying thank you to our customers. We cherish their contributions to the growth of the bank. If you already have a Diamond SavingsXtra account, you will automatically qualify for our draws if you save at least N5, 000. Some of the new lucky millionaires contacted on phone were full of excitement and gratitude to the bank, the money would go a long way to transforming their lives in the New Year” Otukpe noted.
The Bank made history in the first phase of the campaign when it gave away a whooping sum of N50 million to two of its customers as the star prize.
Meanwhile, one of the recent winners of Salary for Life, Mr. Francis Onyeagwara, spoke to Vanguard, saying, “This is a true promo and not fake. I never knew about it until when I was called on phone. I opened the account last year, September 2012. As at the time I won my account balance was not less than a million naira. When I was called that I won Salary for Life, I never believe until 27th September when alert came in crediting me with N100,000 and it has continued. The last alert I got was in December 27, 2012.”
Also, Mr. Bright Amiekwe, a representative of KPMG, an auditing firm, said, “ We performed an independent audit on system to ensure that the selection is random and fair. So it is very transparent and encouraging.”
