Striker Emmanuel Emenike is hoping that he will do well with the Super Eagles at the SA 2013 tournament as a good outing will be a boost to his flagging career. Emenike whose stay with Russian Club Spatak Moscow is facing uncertainty said in an interview with anjansspor.com that winning the Nations Cup will turn things around.
Emenike is making his debut appearance at the tournament much to the chagrin of football fans who viewed his inclusion by Stephen Keshi as a favor to the player. “I would like to win the Africa Cup of Nations that is our aim at the championship.
“I ‘m going to try as much as I can to score but that does not matter; what is most important is that Nigeria emerges champion.
“This championship is extremely important in terms of my career,” said the player.
