GETTING SET… Super Eagles players perfecting strategies for the Africa Nations Cup which kicks off today in South Africa. Former team captain, Rufai believes the team will do well while Chief Gabriel Chukwu, Gabros FC proprietor is charging them to give a good account of themselves.
Nigeria will play in group C with Burkina Faso, Ethiopia and Zambia and their first match will be against Burkina Faso on January 21 at Mbombela Stadium.
”They will play in a strong group but they too will be a very tough nut to crack. Nigeria will have very crucial matches especially against Zambia that in my opinion will struggle to defend their title. I trust them and I think they will do their very best in South Africa” the former Zamalek player added. Amuneke helped the Super Eagles win the Afcon in Tunisia in 1994, eventually being voted African Footballer of the Year.
