Asaba—DELTA State Commissioner for Housing, Chief Paulinus Akpeki, has said that plans had reached advanced stage to rebuild the collapsed high court building in Asaba.
The court complex collapsed in 2007 while under construction.
The collapse of the building had generated concern, which eventually led to the blacklisting of the firm handling the project before its collapse as well as downgrading of a Director of Public Building and six other top officials of the state Ministry of Housing as punishment over the roles they allegedly played that led to the collapse of building, which contract was awarded in 1999 for N58.4 million.
