UGHELLI—Delta State Auditor General, Local Government, Mrs. Brown Njokanwa, had been dragged before a Delta State High Court sitting in Asaba, over her retirement age.
Joined as defendants in the suit are the state Head of Service, Sir Okechukwu Ofili; Permanent Secretary, Directorate of Establishment, Mrs. Nwabueze and the state Civil Service Commission.
Plaintiff in the suit, Mrs. Edith Nenty, from Okpe-Isoko, Isoko North Local Government Area of the state, is praying the court to declare that Mrs. Njokanwa, stands retired since December, 2008 having worked for 35 years, beginning from November, 1973 and by virtue of chapter 2, section 8, Rules 9 of the Public Service Rule, Delta State.
