PORT HARCOURT — MAIN opposition party in Rivers State, Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, has vowed to resist any move by politicians in government in the state to enrich themselves from the state funds.
In a statement, yesterday, in Port Harcourt by the Publicity Secretary of the party in the state, Mr. Jerry Needam, the party accused some politicians in government of living above their means.
He said his party would not hesitate to expose those affected by the allegation and further press charges in court against them.
Needam hailed the level of appreciable peace enjoyed in the state during the yuletide season, adding that effort should be made to sustain it.
“The party also commend Rivers people and security agencies for a peaceful Christmas and New Year celebrations” he said.
He called on people of the state to continue to promote unity and peaceful co existence.
