UMUAHIA—TWO HUNDRED students have been awarded bursary worth N6 million by Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba, Abia State 2011 governorship candidate of All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, with a charge on them not to disappoint their parents and guardians.
Each of the beneficiaries of the bursary meant for Abia indigenes and residents, was given a cheque of N300,000 which covered the 2012 academic session.
Issuing the cheque at his Ntigha Isiala Ngwa North council home, Ufomba said the bursary scheme was in addition to an existing scholarship scheme that had been running for over ten years.
Ufomba said that 168 students are currently on his scholarship scheme and that over 40 students had graduated under the scheme.
