Nollywood A-lister Stephanie Okereke is set to storm the Cinemas with another blockbuster movie titled ‘Dry’.  The Film which comes after her last  successful movie, “Through The Glass” according to the Imo state born actress, film director, model and producer, is a film that xrays activities in the Nigerian Health Care System with the view of addressing  some of the pressing issues affecting women.

Dry which the New York Film Academy trained diva says would be out next year, is going to be taken round the entire 36 states of the federation including FCT. The multiple award winner   further hinted Vanguard Arts that the whole essence of the film is to educate women on how to go through successful  child delivery processes. According to her,  “It is a film that we plan taking to the rural areas, and to ensure it gets the desired result, the film will be translated into different languages”.

Continuing she added that “It promises to be released as an exposition of so many things women encounter during child delivery which are hitherto not made public, so as to help us improve on the health system we have already”.

Starring actors and actresses  such as Liz Benson, Olu Jacobs, herself and many other Nollywood stars, as well as those from Kaniwood, Dry is not only going to be a film for Nigeria, but promises to travel round  other African Countries. It is an entertaining film with some elements of humour  that will be presented as a reflection of society in order to  bring to light, the plight of women in the world.

“The rate  at which women die through child birth in Nigeria is quite alarming and nobody talks about it. In Nigeria and in fact Africa, women are known to be more vulnerable in certain circumstances and this is what the movie sets to address. So, from the content, people will get to draw lessons and find a way to help salvage the condition of women in the country. “ She explained.
