Dangote Group has donated N2 billion as revolving loan to the Federation of Urban Poor (FEDUP), a non-governmental organisation, towards the development of social housing.
Mr. Joseph O. Makoju announced the donation on behalf of Dangote Group at the Stakeholders’ Forum on ‘Housing for the Poor: The Federation of Urban Poor (FEDUP) Perspective’ held in Abuja.
He said that the donation is meant to assist the urban poor in building houses of their own and can be accessed by FEDUP members through the Federal Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development.
Speaking at the occasion, Minister of State for FCT, Olajumoke Akinjide, said the FCT Administration (FCTA) is conscious of the crucial place of housing in the hierarchy of man’s needs.
