Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has been urged to continue with the good work he was doing in the state, particularly in the areas of de-flooding and managing erosion.

An umbrella body of Afemai sons and daughters in the Netherlands, under the aegis of Afemai Forum Netherlands, AFN, which made the call, expressed its willingness to partner the Oshiomhole-led government in the state.

President of AFN, Mr. Rodney Irene, in a statement, said: “The association is impressed with the numerous people-oriented developmental projects embarked upon by your government in all parts of the state, during your first four-year term in office, in your drive to reposition the state and make it a model for other states.

“Based on your performance, in the last four years, and your determination to consolidate on ongoing projects across the state, we are set to partner your government to move the state forward and restore hope to our people.

“We will prioritise infrastructural development, provision of educational materials, social amenities and scholarship to indigent students of the state, so that Edo State can convincingly justify its position as the Heart Beat of the nation among the states in Nigeria.”
