The Nigerian Army on Tuesday released the 63 suspects arrested on December 15, in connection with the abduction of Prof. Kamene Okonjo, mother of the Finance Minister, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.
The 4 Brigade Headquarters of the army, released the suspects who were arrested at Osanogoo, a community in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta.
The Public Relations Officer of the brigade, Capt. Rose Managbe, confirmed the release of the suspects while speaking with newsmen in her office.
She said that the Monarch of Agbor, Dien Benjamin Keagborekuzi, sent three chiefs, led by Chief Gideon Okobia, to sign surety for the release of the suspects.
