ABUJA—Minister of Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Senator Bala Mohammed, yesterday, ordered that the Abuja Council office of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, be refurbished.
Bala directed the Federal Capital Development Authority, FCDA, to immediately give the Abuja NUJ Secretariat a face lift while declaring open the first colloquium of the NUJ, Abuja Council.
Senator Mohammed also handed over the keys to a new 18-seater bus to the National President of NUJ, Malam Mohammed Garba, for onward delivery to NUJ Abuja Council at Utako district.
The minister described the theme of the colloquium, The Media and Combating New Security Challenges to National Stability, as apt considering recent security breaches in the nation.
