KIEV (AFP) – A 62-year-old man was killed and two wounded in the western Ukrainian city of Chernivtsi Thursday when a grenade he was carrying at blew up at the local university, prosecutors said.
“An analysis will determine whether the detonation was accidental or intentional,” a spokesperson for prosecutors told AFP.
Local media reports said the man had set the grenade off on purpose at the university to commit suicide. Two people — a professor and a student — were injured but did not need to be hospitalised.
