KANO – The police authority in Kano Thursday explained in details, how a team of mobile officers survived a bomb attack on them by suspected boko haram members in Kano.
A statement signed by the Kano State Commissioner of Police, Idris Kpotun Ibrahim revealed that “a bomb was thrown at the patrol vehicle from a taxi cab coming behind it”.
Ibrahim noted that “the incident occurred at about 7. 30 am when the officers were being conveyed to their duty post. According to him, “the gallant officers disembarked immediately and cordoned off the Highway”
The CP however, confirmed that eight (8) occupants of the assailant vehicle were arrested at the scene, but stressed that there was no casualty on the part of his men.
The police boss said that investigation has already commenced on the incident, assuring that the police will left no stone unturned to getting to the root of the attack.
