HP Indigo 5600 provides Nigeria new digital printing innovation

IT was a plus in the Nigerian graphic digital printing market as MFI pro print, the distribution partner for HP in Nigeria launched a new HP Indigo 5600 digital offset printing press with reliable, innovative and sustainable world best technology, unique in its class, offering superb quality with maximum production capability.

This edition of HP Indigo 5600 enjoyed in more than 40 African countries with world class remark provides the best conditions for combining high productivity and maximum flexibility that ensures seamless integration, giving a direct access to plate production at the control of the press.

Conducting pressmen around  its Lagos office, it was said that the newly launched printing press is pitched with a “one-shot ink” solution that would extend the Indigo market to plastic cards, graphic overlays and high-quality imaging on synthetic substrates’ market.

Regional Product Manager Pro Print, Mr.Jignesh Mehta, said that HP Indigo 5600 Digital press delivers unmatched digital offset and photo quality with high versatility and productivity. Seamlessly switching between jobs and media types—with a new added ability to print on synthetics—the press is ideal for PSPs with a diverse job mix.

He noted that it is capable of printing well over two million colour pages or five million monochrome pages per month. The press is the leading choice for medium volume printers, using the Enhanced Productivity Mode (EPM), it can print color jobs at a speed of 90 pages per minute. It also reaches a monochrome speed of 272 ppm. Multiple drawers that enable continual printing, reducing operator intervention and increasing uptime.

Its product is also aimed at the security printing industry. A new red-fluorescing invisible ink of the HP Indigo 5600 model can be used to pursue new security-printing applications, such as ID cards, tickets and high-value coupons. A white ink option has been included for markets such as greeting card and static-cling window signage production.

In addition, Managing Director, MFI, Mr. Altaf Lalani, said HP Indigo 5600 is a printing revolution that provides solution to the need of businesses in the printing industry.
