Houses destroyed as fresh violence erupts in Oruku, Umuode

Fresh crises erupted  yesterday  bet-ween the people of Oruku and Umuode  communities in Nkanu East Local Government Area ofEnugu State,  the State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu has confirmed.

Amaraizu said that more policemen had been deployed to join forces with the men on ground to restore normalcy.

Sources said the fresh attack which commenced at about 3pm  Wednesday led to the destruction of six houses while several others had been displaced.

The Oruku people however, said there was no police re-enforcement to the area at press time.
