Channel O marks its 15th year anniversary as Africa’s first 24-hour music TV in Lagos few days to its 2012 Music Video Awards.It was a moment of celebration and popping of champagne .
Africa’s music giants in attendance were decked in old school style with a glam house party, themed ‘Channel O House Party.’ The party attracted a long list of Nigeria’s biggest and brightest music stars, designers and celebrities who beseiged venue of the party to celebrate with the music station.
The event which held on the Lagos island amid pomp
focuses on how Channel O can create African content based around musicians. The Channel over the years has been involved in creating music shows like Volt–a celebration of African musicians as they tell their stories in music, introducing next big act, Africa Dreaming, Basement and much more.
The Nigerian music industry is a growing force to be reckoned with and Channel O, which has enjoyed a long and successful collaboration with this trend-setting community, rools out drums to celebrate Nigerian talents in Lagos.
