Chaplains’ boss predicts Nigeria’s transformation

ABEOKUTA — The National President of the Chaplains Fellowship of Nigeria (CFN), Archbishop Lawrence Afilaka has predicted that in no time, Nigeria will experience transformation.

Speaking during the CFN 2012 National conference and convocation, with theme: ‘Positive power of transformation’ held in Ogun State, Afilika said, “Nigeria can be transformed, and I see Nigeria transforming. If Ghana was transformed and many other countries that we hear about, why not Nigeria?”

He added that the successful Ondo State election is an added value to the country, calling on other state to emulate good governance to enhance national development.

According to him, “Until Nigeria repositions, disciplines and prepares itself, she cannot become the magnificent picture of great change.

“A man is a failure in the making if he fails to discipline himself and train himself towards a better end. How well you prepare yourself will determine how relevant you can be in the race of manifestation.”

To achieve the desired transformation, he urged every Nigerian on total preparation and self discipline, stressing that every life touching hero today is the product of a disciplined person, a symbol of success.

As a result,, he said, “Every citizen should inculcate the habit of reading because readers are leaders, God wants to bless Nigeria, but he cannot bless her beyond her capacity of discipline.

“We must be disciplined to receive a divine revelation from him who will make this nation a solution provider to other nations, especially Africa.”

On the other hand, Asst. Grand Commander, National Director of Logistics and Planning, Rev. Aniedi Ubom said that the country must seek God to achieve transformation.

Ubom, who doubles as Regional Commander, Akwa Ibom State, called on chaplains to effect meaningful impact for uncommon transformation of Nigeria.
