Tiwa Savage, Basketmouth to host NMVA

The anticipation is very high in different quarters in the Nigerian entertainment industry as the sixth edition of the Nigeria Music Video Awards, NMVA which prides itself as the most credible,  attractive and highly respected awards in Africa draws near.

The iconic event which ranks as one of the most consistent in the Nigerian entertainment calendar,  holds December 20, 2012 at the Exhibition Hall of Eko Hotel & Suites in Lagos. Already two frontline entertainers, Basketmouth and Tiwa Savage have been pencilled down to host this year’s award ceremony.

The NMVA is Nigeria’s premier music video awards with the sole aim of rewarding outstanding creators and contributors to music videos production. It was instituted on December 2, 2007. Prior to this time, awards of this magnitude were mostly organised by foreign organisations like; MTV and Channel O. The NMVA, a wholly Nigerian initiative represents our cultural ideals. Since 2007, five successful editions have held consecutively at the prestigious Expo Hall of Eko Hotel & Suites in Victoria Island Lagos.
