Olusola Saraki: Painful Exit of a People’s Democrat – Ekweremadu

ABUJA- DEPUTY Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu has described Dr. Olusola Saraki’s death as a grave loss to the nation and the exit of a people’s democrat.
In a statement by his Special Adviser, Media, Uche Anichukwu, Senator Ekweremadu, said the Second Republic Senate Leader and politician was a people-centred leader, noting that Dr. Saraki “lived for the people, ‘politicked’ for the people, and was totally and consistently committed to the people”.
Also lamenting the death as a collective loss for the Senate where Dr. Olusola Saraki “distinguished himself as one of the most charismatic and vibrant Senate Leaders”, Senator Ekweremadu said the late politician would be forever remembered in the annals of Nigerian politics for “promoting the philosophy of people’s welfare as the crux of politics.”
He condoled with the people of Kwara and Saraki’s family over the grievous loss, urging the political class to emulate his brand of politics by directly and positively impacting the lives of the people.
The Deputy President of the Senate also prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the former Senate Leader.
